| 内容記述 | The purpose of this study is to examine the current status and issues of pediatric emergency response in schools and childcare facilities. To this end, we reviewed the current state of emergency response for children in childcare facilities and educational settings, and conducted a survey of childcare workers and doctors regarding emergency for children. The results revealed that because children are unable to accurately communicate their physical condition and mood on their own, childcare workers and doctors share a common attitude of actively trying to gauge the child’s condition. It was also revealed that both professionals were in close contact with parents both during normal times and during emergencies, as information from parents is valuable for understanding changes in children. Based on these results, we proposed the following four points as things that childcare workers and educators can do to protect children’s lives. That is, 1. Children’s understanding in everyday life, 2. Appropriate response in emergencies, 3. Regular emergency training, 4. Acquiring basic life support techniques in childcare worker/teacher training courses. | |||||||||||||||||
