| 内容記述 | This study reports on the outcomes and challenges of the “Learning Exchange Program” implemented by Naruto University of Education to foster globally competent teachers capable of addressing cultural diversity. The program involved collaborative group work between Japanese graduate students (in-service teachers) and international students studying under JICA scholarships, focusing on shared educational issues. Quantitative analysis using pre- and post-program surveys and qualitative analysis of open-ended responses and lesson records revealed significant improvement in Japanese students’ intercultural competence-especially in global communication, collaboration, and understanding of educational diversity. While international students already demonstrated high intercultural competence, they expressed strong satisfaction and interest in continued participation. The findings highlight the program’s effectiveness in developing teachers’ intercultural understanding and propose further improvement through enhanced language support and time management. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
