| 内容記述 | This study investigates the shifting landscape of school club activities in Japan, focusing on the perspectives of pre-service teachers and graduate students with teaching experience, as well as the practical case of the “Higashikagawa Club” in Higashikagawa City. As the national reform agenda promotes the regional deployment of club activities, university students are increasingly expected to play multiple roles as potential instructors, collaborators, and community partners. Questionnaire surveys reveal that pre-service teachers with positive club activity experiences show high motivation to instruct in the future and tend to support a cooperative model in which community members and teachers work together. In contrast, graduate students with teaching experience more strongly favor a full community-led model and express caution toward taking on club instruction, reflecting their awareness of workload and institutional constraints. These differences indicate that views on club activities are shaped not only by motivation but also by how individuals interpret the structural realities surrounding club-work responsibilities. The case of the Higashikagawa Club demonstrates both the potential and limitations of involving university students as assistant instructors. Their participation contributes to sustaining diverse activities and provides meaningful professional learning opportunities. However, challenges remain, including uneven attendance, transportation barriers, and insufficient training opportunities. Overall, the findings highlight the importance of positioning university students as a valuable human resource within the regional deployment of club activities. Strengthening collaboration between teacher education programs and local communities is essential for developing sustainable models of club management and fostering future educators capable of engaging in community-based learning environments. | |||||||||||
