| 内容記述 | Young carers are defined as children and adolescents who routinely undertake household responsibilities and caregiving roles that are typically expected of adults. Given the multifaceted challenges they face, appropriate support and awareness are essential. This study explores the educational content related to young carers within the context of home economics education. First, relevant content was extracted and reviewed from junior and senior high school home economics textbooks. Subsequently, a questionnaire was administered to university students to assess their experiences with domestic tasks, perceptions of caregiving roles, and awareness of young carers. Textbook analysis revealed that junior high school materials lacked references to young carers, whereas senior high school textbooks included descriptions of their roles, lived experiences, caregiving responsibilities, and associated challenges. Survey results indicated that the majority of university students had prior experience assisting with household tasks, with folding laundry, cleaning the bathroom, and tidying their own rooms being the most common. Furthermore, students tended to differentiate between tasks deemed appropriate for children and those considered adult responsibilities, depending on the nature of the chore. | |||||||||||||||||
