受講生はネットミーティングを用いて遠隔コミュニケーションを行った。授業においては, ツールの使用技術を習得するだけではなく, コミュニケーションそのものを反省的にとらえ直す, メタ認知も生起していた。本稿では, このメタ認知をコミュニケーション能力の育成に不可欠なものととらえ, メタ認知を促す授業要件について考察した。非指示的な教員のかかわりによって, 遠隔コミュニケーションの諸々の不具合を排除・克服の対象として見るだけではなく, それらをまず直視し, 考え, 改善への手だてを模索する姿勢が見られていたことが,
