In order to realize more fulfilling lives, it is necessary for children to develop knowledge of home living. While knowledge of home living is taught as part of various subjects in school, home economics is the only subject in which it is taught as a specific educational topic as housing education. However, due to the difficulty of teaching housing education and a lack of teaching materials among other issues, the content that is taught varies among teachers, and these issues have not been sufficiently addressed.
