The material was constituted of (1) listing of several alternative clothing for the party ; (2) noting the advantages and disadvantages of each clothing ; (3) selecting a clothing based on personal values and circumstances ; (4) explaining how to select a clothing among alternatives. The mean number of clothing listed by individual was 5 and the selected ratios of western styles, Japanese styles, and school uniform were 63, 17, and 15% respectively. From the strategies students used in reaching a decision, frequencies of each of three types of decision strategies -- additive(ADD), additive difference(ADF), and lexicographic(LEX) strategies -- were counted. Those who used ADD decision strategy which was most preference among the three strategies was 48%, those with LEX decision strategy which tended to use at selecting clothing 34% subsequently.
