This study investigates kindergarten teachers' understanding of the new kindergarten curriculum and implementation at the classroom level by using classroom observation and video testing. The results revealed that although the teachers understood the concept and content of the new curriculum, they could not implement it in the classroom due to class size, parents' academic expectations and teachers' mindset.
