 note = {This paper is a memorandum on Jizoji Temple and its abbots from the Middle Ages to the early modern period to elucidate the actual study and teaching conditions by successive abbots of Jizoji Temple. Among the successive abbots of Jizoji, there are very few materials that provide clues to the history and training of the abbots from the late medieval to early modern periods. In consideration of this situation, the following books are selected from the collection of Jizoji Temple: Toin Shinyaku no Innen, Toin Chuko Kaizan no Koto（『当院神薬之因縁・当院中興開山之事』）, Jizoji Sojo Daisu（『地蔵寺相承代数』）, Jizoji Sojo Daisu (separate volume)（別本『地蔵寺相承代数』）, Mujinzan Shogonin Jizomitsuji Ki（『無尽山荘厳院地蔵密寺記』）, Shojihoryu （『正地法流』）and (Provisional) Jizoji Yuishogaki（『（仮）地蔵寺由緒書』）. In addition, the book is reprinted with bibliographic information at the end of the book and is widely available for reference.},
