First, we hypothesized the positioning of cultural aspects in a class design based on the concept of the generating of music. Next, we designed and practiced a music−making class for fifth graders of an elementary school, using the musical accompaniment of the Tokushima folk song “Awa Odori Dance” as a teaching material. Then, the class records were analyzed from the viewpoint derived from the hypothesis of the positioning of cultural aspects. Finally, the class records were analyzed from the viewpoint of the characteristics of using local music as a teaching material. As a result of the practice analysis, the hypothesis of the positioning of the cultural aspect was verified through the practice. In addition, it was found that the information on the three cultural aspects presented in the form of [experience] was not situated in parallel, and that it was necessary to devise a positioning of the primary and secondary aspects.
