The analysis revealed that to comprehend the sentences of shiyootosuru used in history textbooks, it is important to consider the shiyootosuru sentence together with the sentences following it. Moreover, when shiyootosuru is used as a noun modifier, it is necessary to focus on whether the noun as a modifier has a volitional meaning and the action subject of shiyootosuru is expressed in which part of the sentence.
