| 内容記述 | Young people nowadays often feel anxious as they cannot ensure the basis of their existence. Thinking of the reasons, it is necessary to focus on qualitative changes in family, community, and personal relationship of Japanese society. The author analyzed the issue through the movie My Neighbor Totoro directed by Hayao Miyazaki, which portrays what life was like in the past. The movie has a detailed description of the interaction with nature and supernatural force, which was characteristic in traditional Japanese society, and the various protective power for children to underpin human existence. However, its theme is not just for tired people to feel comfort. After we confirm the basis of our existence through this movie, we ourselves need to make every effort for mutual commitment in real−world society and relationship, going beyond the fantasy. | |||||||||||
