| 内容記述 | Newly introduced curriculum "C2005" includes content area of "Planet Earth and Beyond" in Natural Science learning area for Grades R-9. This is first time systematically introduction of earth science content in the curriculum of South Africa. Earth science content in SA curriculum consists of three categories ; astronomical content as "Our place in Space", meteorological content as "Atmosphere and Weather", geological content as "The Changing Earth". "Core knowledge and concept" is introduced in revised curriculum in 2002. The characteristics of earth science curriculum of SA are its perspective framework based on recent academic research and its relationship with human society. Although the curriculum encourages the learners to investigate by themselves, the lack of specific instructions for investigation in the curriculum is main challenge for implementation. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
