The teaching profession has been understood as “the professional occupation” through “the churchman”, “the worker”. The characteristics of the teaching profession are expressed as “reflexivity” “uncertainty” and “borderlessness”. The image of the teaching profession is moving to “the reflective practitioner” from “technical expert”. The significance of the “collegiality” is discussed in the school as the organization. The roles and the abilities of the school leader in the school organization are asked from a viewpoint of school management.
