"本研究は,特別な英語カリキュラムと校風を持つ高知市立義務教育学校土佐山学舎と公立中学校Aの生徒に焦点をあて,本研究のために開発した中学生英語学習不安尺度を用いてそれぞれの生徒が抱える英語の授業における不安の差について分析することを目的とした.各質問項目の両校の平均値の差をマン・ホイットニーのU検定を用いて分析したところ,6つの質問項目において統計的有意差が見られた.土佐山学舎は,公立校よりもクラスメイトとの比較から生じる心配や,教師およびクラスメイトからの評価に対する不安が低く,その差は統計的に有意であった.このことは,外国人と接する機会の頻度およびクラスの編成方法の違いなどが理由として推察される.",
