| 内容記述 | This paper examines the experiences of sexual minorities living in closets based on the narratives of three gay and bisexual men who lived in or were from local cities in the mid-2000s. In that time, the analysis was carried out from the viewpoint of formation of the subject, space of the closet and coming out, confusion of the identity, etc.. As a result, the closet space was not a space that brought peace of mind and safety to homosexuals living in rural areas. Due to the pressure of heterosexism and fear of homophobia, homosexuals had experienced denial of their sexuality, acting as heterosexuals, loss of subject, and confusion of identity. Thus, closet space does not bring security or safety to sexual minorities, but rather anxiety and contradiction. However, getting out of the closet is no easy task, and those who stay in the closet face such anxieties and contradictions. | |||||||||||
