| 内容記述 | As IT [information technology] infrastructure is developed, communication ways are changing dramatically and drastically. One of the benefits of this development is the internet, which enables us to communicate with people throughout the world even in real time. There are various ways of transmitting information; typing or delivering high-quality video across the internet to each other. Sometimes, 'communication' is associated with face to face interaction, but there still remains the importance of writing and reading. This article reports a lesson using a chat system (L.E.C.S.). The purposes of this lesson were to give students opportunities to use English through L.E.C.S. and to motivate their communication in English. The results are as follows. Firstly, the students expressed favorable attitude toward the English lessons using the chat system. Secondly, the chat system was effective in reducing students' negative anxiety. We also discussed the remaining problems for further practices. | |||||||||||||
