First, the background theories and methods of TOP SELF were depicted, along with the structure of the educational purposes. The ultimate purpose of TOP SELF is autonomy, i.e., authentic (autonomous) self-esteem consisting of self-confidence, confidence in others, and intrinsic motivation. In evaluating the effectiveness, it becomes the most important to assess the changes in autonomous self-esteem. TOP SELF can also enhance the adaption to schools through the enhancement of autonomous self-esteem. Moreover, it is possible that the programs could enhance autonomous self-esteem and adaptation to works for teachers as practitioners. Thereafter, the concrete self-report methods were explained focusing the question items for students from the first grade of elementary schools to junior-high schools and teachers. The questionnaires for students were divided into the lower-grade (1st to 3rd grades), higher-grade (4th to 6th grades) elementary-school, and junior-high-school versions. These questionnaires for students are implemented using papers and pencils, while the teachersʼ version is provided and answered online.
